£840 raised for NSPCC at The School House First Birthday27th March 2017

The School House Nursery celebrated their first birthday with a fun fair. It is the first public event since the comprehensive refurbishment of both the nursery and ‘Running Wild’, the soft play area, by its new owners, Fisherfield Childcare.

The event raised an amazing £840.00 for Fisherfield Childcare’s chosen charity, the NSPCC.

Attractions included Running Wild, the soft play party centre, a penalty shoot-out, face painting, princess and pirates pamper sessions,  raffle, cake stall, tombola, food and drink stalls, as well as workshops hosted by the Rochdale Family Learning Service which included decorating Mother’s Day key rings.

Nursery manager Sabrina said: “It was lovely to see all the families have some Fisherfield fun. We feel proud to show off the nursery to the public, the renovations started this time last year, and we are in our next phase of exciting plans for our large outdoor space.  We would like to thank the parents for their support, all the staff who have given up their Saturday to raise money for the NSPCC, and the local people and businesses of Middleton.

Aleksandra, mother to Theo aged 1 said ”It has been a great day, they enjoyed Running Wild the most, and it is lovely to see Theo’s nursery, he seems to like it here, sometimes he doesn’t want to leave when I pick him up!”.
